Traditional Front Garden in South West London
Tired of squeezing their car into a narrow space, these clients requested a wide new drive, with a generous area for planting. They preferred not to use block paving, or to have their drive ‘look like a carpark’.
The new walls reflected the red brick of the house, and linked the front garden to the building. The capping of the wall matched the grey edge of the drive, which was surfaced with Nidagravel. Once the grass and old plants were removed, there was plenty of space for a beautiful border. The image shows the garden readied for planting by my keen gardening clients.
