Surbiton Contemporary Front Garden
The brief for the front garden of this 1930s house included parking for two cars, and a contemporary design.
The new design provides a spacious drive, using Nidagravel and block paving areas for interest. The strong contemporary design is softened by grasses and perennials, with height provided by a multi-stemmed birch tree and large Acer. A row of clipped ‘lollipops’ are under-planted with grasses and agapanthus, with masses of white tulips in spring. At Christmas they are festooned with lights.
