Surbiton Garden

Over the years this suburban garden has altered from a simple children’s play area with sandpit, swing and tree house, to a sophisticated plant lover’s paradise. The garden is divided visually, using horizontal screening between the two lawns. The path beneath the arch leads to an arbour sited to catch the last of the evening sun, and a raised vegetable bed.

Plants are carefully selected so that the garden looks good throughout the year. This is a garden that will never be ‘finished’: it will continue to evolve as I try new design ideas and plant combinations.
